please help me, craft girls!

okay, i posted earlier about making a lamp out of a coffee pot, and the wonderful missavis directed me to this page. so i now have all of my supplies and i'm ready to go... but i don't know how to drill holes in china. won't it shatter and leave me with a broken heart? on the instructions (the ones i just linked to) they suggest getting a professional to do it. what, a professional hole-driller? so i was just wondering if any of you have had any experience with drilling holes in china pieces, or know where i can have this sort of thing done, or know how to do it yourself & with what... so if any of you fit that description, pleeeeease share the wisdom. you'll be saving my life. thank you sooo much!

(yes, i'm starting a psychotic craft project a few days before christmas. i'm cool like that. hahaha)
