My pride and joy this holiday season are these little books. There are 6 books in all. Each page has a photo of Maya and a description of what she was doing at that age. To personallize them a bit each one has a dedication on the inside cover and a thank you note at the end from Maya, my baby. Each page was cut out (I broke down and bought a paper cutter at the end) and laminated with clear contact paper. I used stickers to decorate the text pages a bit. It took me about 2 weeks to finish these puppies. The only thing I would do differently next time is explore different types of bindings. I didn't want them to be really tightly bound so that my grandmas couldn't easily open them to read. The rings were a little too big, but they were the smallest I could find. I didn't look very hard though, just at Walmart.

the book cover

sample page, month 1

sample page, month 4

on the back I wrote the copyright info and "Mama Bear Publishing Co." Heehee.

to package them all up I decoupaged AOL tins. Then I used googley eyes to make the froggy costume a little more interesting.
I also made these...

a little blurry, but these are buttons for friends and family

and finally, a big mass o' marble magnets. You can't tell, but the pictures on the magnets are family members' heads.
