I Heart Crafting!
Dec. 24th, 2003 02:55 pmHi! I'm new! I just couldn't wait to show everyone the presents I made for a few people as presents for Christmas!
The first was a pretty long on going project. My boyfriend is plays the guitar and so I thought it'd be cute to decorate an old guitar case for him. I put on pictures from his favorite movies, saved tickets from movies or museums we had gone to and even a gum wrapper he had given me that I had found in my pocket!(haha). I used mod podge for the first time and I'm pretty proud of the finished project. Although, these pictures are before I was finished. I actually took these just to show a friend how it was going... when I finished I forgot to take another picture. Oops. You get the idea though. Just imagine it totally covered.

This is the side view. The whole side is covered with that sort of music paper; an image I found on getty pictures online.
Then yesterday I was trying to think of something more I could give my close girl friends when I was wandering around the room. Then I spotted the empty cd cases I don't use and came up with the perfect idea. Cd case picture frames! I also used mod podge on this project because it's the most awesome substance on the face of the earth. The front and back of the cd cases have some really cool painting copies from mark ryden then I put some construction paper in back of those and the pictures in the middle. I'm really proud of the way these came out. They look so cool on the front and back, stand up by themselves and are perfect for traveling! I will definitely use this idea again!

merry christmas!
