Dec. 26th, 2003 02:14 amhey guys. let's keep this craft related, but what did everyone get for christmas, crafty-wise?
the only crafty-type gift i got was a duvet cover and patchwork pillow for my bed at my new place that my dad's girlfriend made. and then my dad promised to pay half for a sewing machine finally after new year, since i've been asking for one for ages. i'm so excited! i already have a bunch of projects planned.
also, i had a question, if any of you have ideas...my mom gave my sister and i our old stuffed care bears from when we were kids. these are from the eighties, but very sentimental. any ideas for a cute way to display them that isn't too little-girly? or do anything with them that doesn't involve me giving them away or harming them much. this one's a weird question, so i understand if no one comes up with anything. here's a picture of one, if it helps. oh, and i have ten of them.

and finally, this year i crocheted EVERYONE scarves, so there's not much to post there, since i didn't take pictures of all of them. they were all really basic, in everyone's favorite colors.
my dad got a no sew fleece blanket and pillow in two shades of grey and my cousin got a record bowl, but you guys know what those look like, so no pictures for you.
but i made one of my friends a journal with this as the cover:

that's not the actual journal, just a copy of what's on the cover. the actual journal has the bunny and the words on an orange background. i used mod podge and a journal from the store, very quick and easy - but she'll like it. prize to anyone who know's the reference. and it's not the happy bunny, i just used a happy bunny picture because it was the only good bunny picture i could find.
