(no subject)
Dec. 26th, 2003 05:20 amIt's now twenty-after five in the morning, here in Buffalo, NY and I am still awake. I've been feeling awfully crafty lately. Since I'm new to this community, and I'm not sure what has already been said/has not been said, so if I repeat anything, please forgive me!
Here's my thing: I live with four other people in a house off campus from my college. I decided to make everyone gifts, and give them to them when we come back from break. This way, I can work on everything in private, and they won't see anything I'm working on. I've already gotten one gift done (I'll explain/take photos later....she's also a LJ user and I don't want to ruin the surprise!). I'm pretty crafty. I mean, I know how to knit/sew/crochet/paint/web design/write poetry, etc. etc. But I'm pretty stuck for ideas with the other three people in my house.
First, there's Alison. She loves little baby yellow chicks and Mortal Kombat. She's a really mellow, fun loving girl who is never unhappy, and will probably be happy with whatever.
Then, there's Steph. I've already painted her a picture before, so I don't know if I want to do that again. Also, she's recently taken up crocheting/knitting so I would rather not make her anything because I want her first homemade project to be one she made herself. She's a strong-willed girl with a big voice, and a big heart.
Then, there's Alicia, whom I don't really know all that well. She's really down-to-earth, but "all about business" at the same time. So....I don't know. I guess it would have been better to find out what she likes first? hmmm....
Anyway, there you have it. Three completely different people, so I need to come up with equally unique gift ideas. Any help would be MUCH appreciated! Thanks :)
