[identity profile] subgirl.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] craftgrrl
I'm not the best seamstress in the world, so I'd like to do some small things for my American Girl Doll.

Does anyone have experience sewing for 18" dolls? I'm not a knitter or crocheter (no patience), so I'd like to stick to sewing.

I'd like to do some contemporary patterns of stuff, but I'm not exactly how to translate a pattern for a doll. I would assume it'd be similar to designing a pattern for a real person, only smaller. And with the benefit of being able to stick pins in it. Only, I don't know how to create patterns for any sized people.

I'm an art major and confidant in my lack of abilities (I'm pretty sure I could figure it out, I'd just like some direction).

You guys are the best when it comes to stuff like this, so I'm counting on you! Also - if you have links or another community where I could post this to I'd love you all forever xxoo
