outside safe trinkets?
Jan. 4th, 2004 11:11 pmWhen my sister's plaque came in we were out there decorating it like crazy. It was a few days before xmas but we put up plush ornaments, floral picks little banners, lined up mini pine trees and flowers at the base, people brought beaded wreaths and crystal ornaments, we lit candles, I made an artificial pine mini wreath with star garland and a silver heart charm with my sisters name. It was full. For new years I made a wreath using foil garland and poppers. Someone came by and stold/popped some of the popers which angers me.
Her birthday is next week. She would be 23. I made her an ornament that is a ceramic star with birthday themed cat stickers on it (not to crafty I know), bought her some ornaments, a plush cat with angel wings and a celestial theme, a card to sit in its lap, I am making her a artificial flower arrangement...We are also bringing ballons and flowers/plants to her.
My mom decorates the crash site. For xmas she put up a mini tree and we found battery operated lights at Beverly's to hang on it. For new years my mom put up a sign that said something like 'please do not drink and drive or get in a car with those that do'...
I make paper ornaments with ribbon, sparkle oragami paper and scratch art stickers. They don't hold up well. The weather has been nasty here lately. I am thinking of beading some stuff and make garland for her, 7 day glass candle holders decorated, fimo ornaments, oragami stars. However we want to keep her spot decorated all the time. We remove things and put new things up after holidays. Or if we leave nice things we hope they are there the next day (people like to steal) and bring them home.
Her niche is a small box with a plaque. On the sides of her plaque she has two flwer cups. She is placed in the middle box on the wall. Any ideas? If it helps she liked celestial things, cats, canabis culture, zodiac (capricorn), candles (we leave 7 day ones all the time), keychains...Like I said things get stolen there all the time so the better they stick/hang the better they will be.
Thanks. Ohh and my mom takes photos of each theme we have done. If anyone wants to see just ask and I can post them up in the next few weeks. :)
