learn to knit kit

so yesterday i got the lion brand learn to knit kit with my 50% coupon. i've been wanting to learn forever, and since i'm on vacation from work this week and schools out til february, it seemed like the perfect opportunity. i figured it to be approximately the same price as if i bought the yarn, needles, and beginners book all separately, so i decided to just get the kit. it seems pretty good. i opened it up last night and tried to get started but i was pretty tired and wasn't catching on right away so i put it away for the night. i'll give it another go sometime this afternoon. i'm really excited though. has anyone else used this kit?
