lamps

I redid two of my lamps today, as they were both looking rather shabby.

This was simply a normal white lamp with a boring white lampshade.  A few years ago I had painted the base leopard-print because... well I don't know what I was thinking.  Today I painted it black with acrylic paint and super glued buttons around the lampshade.  Simple, and very easy to do, but I think it looks much better.

And this is by far my favorite.  It used to be just plain wood with a black lampshade, quite boring.  I painted the whole thing black with acrylics and added the white polka dots (I'm surprised they all look the same size, as I just did them quickly freehand.)  Then I glued cd's to the lampshade with a hot glue gun, and painted the cd's black.

And thus ends the lamp saga for the day.
