I sort of re made a sketchbook today. I bought this kraft paper sketchbook from my college bookstore for 80 cents.

Then I ripped off the flimsy cover and took out the string keeping it together. Then I cut four pieces of cardboard for the sides. I glued two peices together to reinforce it. Then using the book binding instructions here http://www.sff.net/people/Brook.West/bind/bindit.html I bound the book together using dental floss with the new covers. Then I applied black duct tape to the spine and decorated the covers. Here's the rest of the pictures. Oh, and the images were from an old first aid book I bought at a thrift shop, the inside cover has one of those old library checkout cards in the front, and there is an envelope glued to the back page (I tend to cut things out of magazines lots).
