Howdy, fellow craftgrrls and boys! I just finished making a handbag from scratch-- started last night and now it's done! It's definitely the most complicated bag I've made. I used about a billion different old calico fabrics from Mom's collection. I made up the box shape and duplicated it for the lining, then added a bunch of pockets. I got my rather artistically talented boyfriend to draw me a simple sketch of a fox, which I then made a template from and did the whole appliqué process. I won't bore you with that, but it's complicated and a little hard. I used some cute little black shank buttons for the eyes and nose. :) Overall, I made pretty much what I wanted, but it's wayyyy floppier than I intended, even though I interfaced and lined it. Oh well. I made it too wide, I think...

Also, I bunged this appliqué on a t-shirt a long time ago, but now I have a digicam, so here's a pic.
