thank you so much craftgrrls!
Jan. 17th, 2004 01:16 pmi just want to say thank you to everyone who left me positive feedback about my pop art room. i wish i had the time to reply to everyone who commented but unfortunately i dont have the time :(
i do want to tell you that it made me feel great to know that you guys liked it!
some of you had questions for me, ill try to answer them
- yup! i painted directly on my walls. the marilyn monroe wall was the first wall i painted and i did it entirely freehand - no stencils- and it took FOREVER. the roy lichenstein wall i used a projector and it was much easier but still time consuming (and it's probably a lot more accurate!)
- i did make the leg lamp. theres no way id pay 200$ for one! the leg was reeeeeeally hard to find though
- i cant say for sure, but id say the total cost was around $100-$200 ($50 of it was for the red paint) i found a lot of the decorations around the house and at thrift stores. and some of the artwork (like the hands above my dresser) is a hell yes jess original with super cheap frames.
- and yes, i will rent out my room!
- however, i dont think i could marry any one of you. heh :)
the only bad thing is that im away at school in an apartment and my room is at my parents house so i cant enjoy it! ive been busy trying to come up with ideas to decorate my room here but its tough because i cant put any holes into the walls or pain on them plus, i spend all of my money on art supplies for school. any ideas?
