PVC

Hmmm I have this old red PVC top shoved in a drawer somewhere and I had a burst of creativity and figured there might be some way I could make it into a red batman/catwoman mask just like the ones in the batman films or the one in this picture from ghost world.



I have a sewing machine and that weird plasticy thread that is supposed to be good for PVC etc but I have absolutely NO knowledge whatsoever of how to even begin making something like this (I only got the sewing machine at Xmas and can only sew in a straight line so far, lol! But I'm a fast learner!) do you people think this might be at all possible? Anybody got any tips/instructions/bright ideas?
