ok, I wanted to get into decoupage... and I have a few cardboard shoeboxes to use as starters (seeing as I've never decoupaged) but I wasn't sure if cardboard works well, since it's absorbent? Or should I just go buy a few cheap-o wooden boxes at Michael's (or other crafty place)?

Also, is Mod Podge the best stuff to get for a starter? I figure I'll be able to get some info from the craft store people, but you all know what you're doing, and I've actually seen some of your stuff (rather than relying on some random employee who might or might not have actually used the stuff).

So, any help is MUCH appreciated! I'll definately take a few pictures of whatever I create, to show fof my first projects :)

thanks!!
