craftgrrlhey- I'm new to this community (also l.j.) and I just started knitting. Since i'm a beginner, I'll be starting with scarves, but eventually i'd like to move up and create something similiar to this... 
I'm guessing the pattern would be easy- because there aren't any sleeves. Any experienced knitters here that can tell me whether or not i'll need 5 years of practice before i can make this? Thanks!
