I knit 5 triangles on a set of size 7 needles, and then knit in a round to join them, much like the reverse bloom flower in 'weekend knits' of the winter issue of interweave. To give the flower a cone like body, I reduced it much quicker than if I had wanted it to lay flat

I knit the heart from bottom up, increasing each row. The strap is a crocheted chain.

This is the same design as before (knit top down, reducing evenly every other row + intarsia design) but with sidar snowflake yarn as the contrasting hot pink because it is so fuzzy. Mmmmmmmmmm fuzzy

I crochet rounds for the faces (and crochet the muzzle as well) then use buttons and yarn for extra details. I then hand sew fabric lining, sew together the purse and crochet on ears and handle.

My first foray into beading if you don't count the tacky earrings I made in the 80s. I had gutted some semi precious stone meditation/stretchy bracelets and had these great beads. I combined them with glass beads and threaded them onto wax linen. The charms were hand shaped out of sculpti/fimo clay and baked. These came out well, but I need to find beading thread with more flex.
I've been a busy girl!
