first time crafty post!
Aug. 2nd, 2002 07:41 amI've been reading this community voraciously, but I haven't been crafting at the same rate... but today, I actually came across what I want to make as valentine's.

This is a Lichtenstein I found in my dad's art design book.

I decided to try and draw it myself, sans the shading, and I thought it turned out cool.
BUT I thought it might be interesting to see what it looked like after being copied on my mother's ancient copier that's been blinking "add toner" for over a year now.

I loved it! So I tried it on colored construction paper, which added this great texture.
*edit* This next pic is way off to the right for some reason, so sorry about that... scroll if you wanna see it.
Because it's heavier, the ink doesn't fully transfer, and I liked that... I think it makes it look more like an old comic book.
I plan on cutting these, gluing them onto cardstock, and trying to think of funny messages. I am also trying to locate a few more images from which to repeat the process.
