I think this is a cute little present for V-day, so am posting a step-by-step photo guide on how to make them. The pictures are pretty bad as I've only got a webcam, but I hope they come in handy regardless!

Materials:

8cm x 8cm squares of pretty wrapping paper, try and get fairly sturdy stuff as you'll be creasing it a fair bit

foil-wrapped chocolate, preferably Hershey's Kisses if you can get them *sad sniff*

cellophane, tissue paper, small boxes, or some other type container which you can use to bundle a few origami boxes together.

**NOTE: When folding, make the creases as sharp and as accurate as possible, as they will make the box look better.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Start with the piece of paper and fold it from corner to corner, so it looks like this:

Then you want to fold it side to side to get this:

Tilt the paper so one corner is facing you and it looks like a diamond:

.

and then bring the side corners into the middle so it looks like a smaller diamond:

Now lift up one of the sides so it's standing upright:

and then flatten it:

Proceed to do this to all of the sides, and you should have something that looks like this:

Making sure that you can see two white triangles (or the other side of the paper), fold one of the white sides down towards the middle, like so:

Do this to the other white side, and it should look like this:

Do this to all the sides where you can see white, and it should look like this:

Now, fold one side over so you have a slim diamond with no folded over paper visible:

And then fold the top corner down:

Do this to all sides (which have no folded paper on them) and it should now look like this:

Tip it upside down so that the point is facing up, and then grab two opposite sides between your fingers and pull:

Work around the shape in that manner, and you should soon have something that looks like this:

Flip it upside down, and TADA! You have an origami box! :)

HOW TO INSERT THE CHOCOLATE (I would've ripped the box if my cousin hadn't shown me :/)

Fold up two of those sides that you previously folded down, so it has two points pointing up:

unfold JUST that side and it should now have a bigger opening:

Insert the chocolate, holding the ribbon so it stays outside, then fold down each of the points again:

and this should be the final product :)
