[identity profile] beachniksnet.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] craftgrrl

I have a shop and would like to get rid of my walmart plastic hangers and make my own funky ones to go with the atmosphere. I would also like to display some knit hats we've made on wire hat displays. I kept images of cute wire hangers and a wire hat display.
HERE: (the images take awhile to load sorry) http://www.beachniks.net/wirehangers.htm

I went to the hardware store and bought a heavy spool of wire, wire cutters, and a needle nose plier. After looking at the hangers I figured that maybe I can spray paint the wire after I'm done or keep them the metal color and replace the black beads with colorful glass beads to make them look nice. I would like to also make the hat rack but it seems too complex. Another thing I am concerned about is that the hangers in the image look like things might just slide right down off of them. Also the other thing I was thinking is that we have skirts and pants and I'm not sure how I could either integrate a wire coil as part of the hanger to attach skirts or if I should buy those black thick metal clips at an office store and paint them the same color and somehow keep them from falling off the wire hanger. I HAVE LOOKED EVERYWHERE ONTHE INTERNET ON TIPS FOR MAKING MY OWN WIRE HANGERS AND NOTHING COMES UP.

PLEASE PLEASE HELP MY CRAFTGRRL GURUS!
