Feb. 15th, 2004 01:40 pmdear fine people of craftgrrl:
okay, this may be repetitive and if it is i apologize in advance now-- i looked through the faq and somehow missed it then.
i am thinking of creating small self-promotional items for myself to get myself a little bit exposed, i guess is a good term. i'm a printmaker/illustrator, so i figured it'd make sense to put my name out on the streets (possibly even quite literally!) wherever i go. also, to possibly sell stickers and pins as a small monetary thing. i know i won't get rich but i have a few purposes where this may come in handy.
so here's my question-- i was looking at http://www.notkeren.com and saw her wonderful buttons and stickers. so far i've figured that if i were to buy a machine, the badge-a-minit is my best bet (although am i wrong? any suggestions?), and i was wondering if anyone had experience with xyron machines, as i couldn't find anything in the faq. are these good? in addition, i was wondering about the packaging elements of these things. if you look at keren's buttons, they look pretty damn professional, and while i know that kind of packaging isn't difficult (plastic baggie here, cardstock there, staple and bingo!) does anyone know where to get supplies for that? i'm thinking of working my silkscreening into that and just screening the packaging.
thanks in advance!
