more stenciling...
Feb. 16th, 2004 09:18 amI made stenciled t-shirts for my friends for christmas, but haven't gotten around to posting them until now.

we've got a norah jones and a jimmy buffet. :) yay!
Edit: after gettting all those comments, I guess that I should elucidate instead of just showing off my craftiness. :) sorry. I used pictures that I found online, edited in photoshop in the method decribed in the tutorial on stencilrevolution. I printed them onto overhead transparency sheets, using a laser printer (yay for working in an office). I cut the black parts out using an exacto knife, and then applied the plastic to the shirt using spray adhesive. I rolled the stencil on using a bitty paint roller dipping in 50% textile medium and 50% black acrylic paint all mixed together. I let it dry for a day. Then I heat set the paint with a hot iron and a rag I didn't mind getting ruined. (You can machine wash these shirts...just in cold water inside out.)
And, as always, if you want any more information, check out the FAQ's!
