Your ideas and advice could help prevent senseless sewing machine abuse.

I've been sewing some things for a friend of mine and the stitches are looking funny. The top side looks great, but the bottom looks all jerky and messy , not really loose, it mostly just looks crooked and wierd. I've tried turning all kinds of dials and pushing all kinds of buttons, but I haven't been able to stop this from happening. I'm wondering if any of you totally awesome people have any ideas as to what might be wrong and what I could try to stop the madness.

The machine is too heavy for me to throw very far (which is what I feel like doing) so I wouldn't get much satisfaction, but I'd probably mess the thing up more than it is and end up regretting my violent act.

Wah.
