New member with piles of photos
Feb. 25th, 2004 02:48 amHi everyone, my name's Maly and I'm new to
craftgrrl. I figured I'd join in, because it seems like fun, I can't get enough of crafts, I guess. I've been crafting for 15 years or so, and I've touched on almost everything. I do hemp jewelry, beaded jewelry, sculpture, sewing, knitting, I used to do tatting, I've done candles, journalmaking, dreamcatchers, walking sticks, masks, I do a ton of computer crafts, I've made costumes...geez, I make so much stuff that I really can't remember it all.
Lately, I've been sewing fleece kitty ears and video game character hats to sell on eBay, and I've been supplementing that with some bone and bead work. Tonight, I somehow managed to finish three pairs of kitty ears and two hats, which is a new personal best.
Some kitty ears:

Some fox ears:

Dragon ears:

Final fantasy "black mage"

Final fantasy "bomb"

Final fantasy "cactuar"

Super Mario Brothers 2 "shy guy"
(worn by
calypte)

Hat for
fireeyes

Final Fantasy 9 "gimme cat"

(they have a mouse tied to their tail)

Happy fox creature

Final Fantasy 10 "Kimahri"

Hat for
illucian

Black hoodie with wings I did in Photoshop, and then printed on to dark iron-on transfer paper (sorry for the dark photo)

Just the wings (in blue)

One of my hemp necklaces:

(large image) - Fox skull and crow wing dreamcatcher made for a friend.
(large image) - Opossum skull and rabbit fur walking stick that I made for myself last year.
(large image) - Coyote skull and pheasant feather lamp staff that I made for myself this year.
Dragon and Lion masks for my fiancee and I:

Polymer clay horns, made just for fun:

Anyways, I think that's about it for now, I've got some more kitty ears to post once I get pictures of them, and from now on I promise less picture intensive posts! I also post in my own fantasy-inspired crafting community
craftykin, with dragon and gryphon crafts. I should have some huge dragon masks going up in the next few days.
Nice meeting you all!
