At our local Stitch n Bitch this 70 year old lady acts like my daughter and I  shouldn't belong to a knit group at our age. The other day she showed up with a fringe on her scarf that everone admired because it was more of a LIQUID LIGHT fringe and not regular metallic yarn. The fringe hit the light in every direction and when we asked what she used where she purchsed it she said it was too long ago and she couldn't remember. At the end of the meeting she said " I think it's comming back to me." and named some B.S. yarn store 6 hours away.  I searched and searched on the internet and found that it isn't a yarn it's halogram thread that gives the yarn a liquid light luminous look.  You just have to work with the thread and yarn together to make it look awesome. Simililar to when you work with eyelash/fun fur yarn.  I had to share my story .         I found the thread here

http://www.sewandquilt.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?&Screen=PROD&Store_Code=SQ2&Product_Code=50410201&Category_Code=Thread_Specialty

I could understand maybe forgetting the place of purchase, but DONT CALL IT A YARN IF IT'S A THREAD!    ha ha ha ha ha

That rotten 70 yr old Stitch, as soon as I make something I'm takin' it in and saying  look I didn't have to drive 6 hours and its actually a halogram thread mixed in with the yarn.
