Mar. 11th, 2004 06:08 pmI told my brother I was going to make him something for his birthday, which is March 19. I asked him what kind of interior decor he would like if he could choose anything. He said, "camouflage." I asked him what symbol he thinks represents him. He said, "a cobra."
Ok, so I got a little over dramatic with my lj-cut text, but it made me laugh. The actual project isn't all that exciting, really. Observe:
Got some camo tissue paper on ebay for real cheap. Put three layers of it on a 10-dollar toilet seat from Wal-mart.

Even did the underside and added the surprise cobra waiting to strike at your unprotected privates. Snake ingredients: yellow paper, laser printer, coffee dye bath, a bit of wrinkling, and glittery fingernail polishes.

WATCH OUT! HE'LL GET YOU! (See the pretty glitter? I doubt my brother likes glitter, but I think he'll get a kick out of this anyway.)

After the snake dries so it is securely adhesified, I am going to coat the entire thing with a few layers of some spray clear acrylic. Then I will re-attach it to the seat part of the toilet seat, wrap it up in the leftover camo tissue paper, and ship it to my li'l bro. He'll be 28 and he's going to love this.
