Wheee!

So I finished my bridesmaid jewelry and the boxes to put them in, so I decided to start on my flowergirl basket.

I painted a simple $3.99 basket from Michael's with inexpensive white gloss spray paint from Walmart. After it dried a couple of days (I'm usually REALLY IMPATIENT with drying paint. I dunno why), I decided today, since I was home sick, to poke my paper flower picks through. I bought two $7 packages of paper rose picks from Michael's, thinking I'd only need one. Boy was I wrong! Their little heads kept popping off when I poked them through. I think I killed about ten of them. This is what I have so far. The only thing left is to wind the ribbon (and maybe some pearls and stuff left over from the jewelry) around the handle, leaving a few inches to drape down.

I'm thinking I'll use the leftover picks and ribbon to make adornments for our toasting glasses.
