Mar. 14th, 2004 08:25 amhappy pi day!
(sorry, no pi day crafts as of yet.)
a sort of deconstructed tea pot. when it was kinda stiff i bent parts and flattened them, when it was too stiff i took off the handle. with the glazes i just found some stains and had a little fun. i like it, but not as much as my tea for one puppy pot. (this is neither food safe nor useable, i made sure the lid was stuck to the pot in several spots and used unsafe glazes.)

this is my indiginous peoples vase. it just felt kind of old to me when i was making it, so i gave it the handle type openings to make it more utilitarian looking. (i can't make it not look squatty without making the picture ginormous, so just imagine it a little taller and a little less fat. :^) )

this is my favorite scale peice to date, it's pretty large - about two feet tall. in the first picture it looks splotchy but it's not, it's black with they grays around the puprple bubbles in the detail pic. the shiny-white looking part is some texture work that caught the light.

one of the first sets i made. the puppy's glaze work didn't come out as i had planned, but i was pretty happy with how he turned out. and unlike the scale piece, the tan spots on the roof house are spots that didn't get glazed. i had issues with the wax resist that day.
