I made myself a jewelry box over spring break.

I painted the entire thing black and I decoupaged the outside of it with poems ( Sylvia Plath, Emily Dickinson, T.S. Eliot, Edgar Allen Poe, E.E. Cummings, Allen Ginsberg etc. ) I cut out poems from an old english text book. Although for some reason I felt really bad about cutting up poems. It felt sacreligious or something :P







I also put poems on the sides and bottom.



On the inside I did a night sky theme. I pasted the paper on the bottom and on the top I glued a mirror and decoupaged star cut-outs around it.





It doesn't look great. It didn't come out as good as I hoped it would. Maybe I should have pasted pictures on the outside or just painted it? meh. I'll make more :]
