craftgrrl | Cardigan and Dress-Crochet (Reply)

I want to crochet a dress...has anyone had any experience with this?
I looked in the memories and did not find anything.
I think it would be interesting to crochet a dress...I see them sometimes in the stores.
Also, I found a link to crochet my own cardigan...I think that might be fun too. I see them for sale in Target and stuff all the time and it makes me want one...but I don't want to pay $30 for one that I sorta like. When if I make my own I know I will love it.
I'd prefer a pattern that has pockets...or I suppose I could add my own, it doesn't seem like it would be that hard.

Which one do you all like better?
What kind of yarn would be best to make a dress out of? And a cardigan?

Also, I am a bigger girl....and how would I got about altering the patterns as so they would fit me? To fit my chestal area and make it not super tight, I would need a 2X
I would appreciate help..if you got any.

Or, does anyone know of any sites that have plus size patterns on them?
