Decorating a stainless steel mug
Apr. 5th, 2004 12:31 pmMy son Jaden turns three on Friday. My husband and I have stainless steel travel mugs, and Jaden loves them. He drinks "tea" (soy milk and a splash of chai) all the time from "mamas mug".
For his birthday, I'd like to buy him one and decorate it somehow. I don't usually do crafts like this, so I don't know if I could paint it, or decoupage it, or anything like that, but I'd like to be able to paint it. It'd need to be something that would stay on steel pretty well and hold up to washing. If nothing else, I could just pull out my rotary tool and polish a design into it, but I'd kind of like it to be colorful if at all possible. Any ideas?
