i found the perfect hat pattern, finally. i have this tendency to make hats either waaaay too big or small, so when i found one that works i stuck with it. i think i've made four hats from this pattern so far.

i look really stupid in hats. that's why i usually give them away.

i got this lovely little purse from a friend of mine who owns a vintage store, but it was just plain purple so i thought i'd dress it up a little. i got the dinosur felt cutout for mad cheap at A.C. Moore, and just hot-glued it on. of course, no dinosaur is complete without a pink bow.

this was my first ever project on a sewing machine. it's the needle roll, from stitch and bitch, the seams are really crooked, but it's still functional.

my second ever sewing project. obviously made from the same material as the needle roll. i just kinda made it up as i went along, as i have a tendency to do with most of my crafts. to make it sturdier i used two pieces of crdboard from a shoebox and hot-glued them together for extra strength. (i realize this means that it's not really washable -- but i didn't have any plastic canvas on hand and i couldn't get to the store).

the inside is lined with plain green cotton. i didn't think about putting pockets in until it was too late. duh.
