I made a reversible tote purse. The pattern I drew up is behind the cut

It is pretty self-explanitory. I drew the tote with the finished measurements. Use that as the guide. You will have to add about half an inch all around for all pieces except the handles for seam allowances (add more or less with what you are comfortable with. I added 1/2 inch and then trimmed it close for a lined tote. You can add less as a seam allowance for an unlined tote and serge the edges or maybe do like a blanket stitch on the hems because they will show on the inside of the bag).

When I made my lined tote I made two out of different fabrics (a heavy canvas twill for the outside, and some regular cotton leftover from another project as a lining). I just made both totes the same size, but didnt sew on the handles. Then, wrong sides touching, put the liner inside the bag, and then folded the top down about half an inch inside. I then pinned the handles into place in between the two liners, and sewed it down. It sounds a bit difficult, but when you have all the fabric and pices in front of you it does come together :)

For the handles you just fold them over themselves, and then tuck a little bit in so the rough edges don't show. You can fiddle with it and see what you like best!

Hope you like it guys!
