Knitting needle roll question
Apr. 24th, 2004 12:54 pmI hate to ask questions, but...
I'm sewing a knitting needle roll as a gift today but I don't knit. I need to know what is the longest needle the average knitter owns (in inches, preferably)?
Any other feedback like how many pockets are good or how wide the roll should be would be appreciated. I'll probably only make a single row of pockets, unless I have enough fabric to make a short row for crochet hooks.
Some links with images:
+ crackers+honey (from what I understand, these can hold needles up to 15" long)
+ Sarah's Mostly Knitting Weblog (a few examples)
+ "Roll Your Own Needlecases" (I like these)
Thank you all!
