craftgrrl | sewing Machine Question.....

Of course......
You make a quick run for a last minute costume idea....
You stay up all night working on it.....
And at 5:30AM the sewing machine stops working.......
For all the lovelys who can read this, and have experience with a sewing machine....what does this sound like could be the problem?

My machine is a White (brand name, bought from Handcock's Fabrics 2 years ago)

For the last three months....it's been sticking if I try to start it from the full up position......and the last month it's also been sticking if I try to start it from the full down position.....
Last night it started slowing down while I was giving it tons of power...then locked up completely. =( I can't get the needle to move at all.....

I'm thinking the motor is locked up..... =( any ideas how I could fix this myself?
