fixing up a door...
May. 4th, 2004 11:50 pmOK, so in my apartment I have those cheap, hollow pasteboard type doors. When my cat was a kitten she grabbed a corner of the bedroom door and began to chew, then tear strips of the "wood" coating off of it from the bottom up. UGH! THEN a horrible dresser moving accident smashed a big ol' hole in the front of the door.
Obviously I will at some point be replacing this door before I move out so I can get my $500 deposit back (I normally wouldn't care but my parents expect that money back from looong ago0. Until then I really want to cover it up somehow. I was actually thinking of staple-gunning batting and then fabric/ribbons to it to create a big, big fabric message board and tucking/tacking cool photos, postcards, etc. to it. That would serve as some decoration too, since my apartment is very small and you can see the bedroom door from the living room.
Does anyone else have any other ideas?
