Inspired by this post, I realized this might be a useful place to ask my question about measurements.

I've been churning out crocheted hats like there's no tomorrow, and I realized that I've been making them all to fit my head. So I thought it might be a good idea to try to figure out what an average sized head is, as I have a feeling mine is a bit on the smaller side of things...

So, if people would be so kind as to measure their heads (around), preferably in inches, I would be so appreciative. And those of you with children, if you don't mind measuring the little ones heads as well, that would be super groovy.

My head: 22 inches
My fiance's head: 24 inches
My sister's head: 23 1/2 inches
A guy we know who wanted to know how big his head was: 23 1/2 inches
His baby's head: 16 inches (!!! Yeah, I was shocked at how big a 5 month old girl's head is!)
