May. 11th, 2004 02:14 pmi don't know if anyone has ever posted about this before, but i just figured it out about five minutes ago and i thought i was the world's smartest smart person.
you know when you want to transfer a design you sketched out onto fabric for cross stitching or embroidery but you just don't have the transfer/carbon paper? just do what i just did!
1. take your sketch and on the back, scribble chalk all over it until it's got a pretty thick layer.
2. put the paper chalk side down on the fabric
3. follow the lines of your image with a dull pencil
4. stitch away!
5. finish reading this and tell me you already knew how to do that and that my "great invention" has been done a million times over.
