May. 13th, 2004 11:05 pmokokokok i'm not sure if i ever posted in here BUT. i have some crafty things to show! actually my wonderful crafty boyfriend has two things and i have one. first off, he made me this amazing little box for our one-year anniversary.

(the rest of the pics are under the cut)
and he also saved like $28.99 + tax on this shirt

by making a stencil and painting it on there himself instead of buying it from urban outfitters.
and i made this book for him for our one-year anniversary. i freakin love making books now and i'm so excited about making more! i didn't have time to drill the holes bigger or i would have bound it with twine. instead, i bound it with wire and it worked just fine. i was also going to cover the binding with gaff tape but forgot to grab some when i had the chance.

LOTS OF PICS BEHIND THE CUT! :)

inside! (there was a print out picture of a spoon ring because he couldnt find it anywhere but ebay and it hadnt gotten here by the time came to exchange gifts! hehe)
i think all he did was take a little box from walmart, glue those magazine pages on and spray them with an el-cheapo clear coat.
for this, i've been seeing these around and i really love polaroids (i am no good at photography though) and i wanted to make him something nice. i was going for the rough look. i used a lot of mod podge. i found the book (the great iron ship) at salvation army for 49 cents and the reason i bought it was because on the inside cover was a message from a mother to her son. then when i started flipping through it, i realized it had some awesome old drawings in the middle. i can't wait to go back and see what else i can find. :)
