my costume

i called some stores to find my costume, and when i went in they only had kid sizes, or overpriced ones with that cheap shiny material. so in desperation, i fled to my local value village.

i bought this shirt, a white slip skirt, and a long white apron. i couldn't find a full body apron, and this one was too long. so i cut it under the pocket. i made my hat out of that leftover material, with old sweatshirt material and tin foil in it to make it have shape. i quickly hand sewed the hat. then i got out my trusty red paint. and hour before the halloween party, this is what i got together:

i had to get the garter. just because i love those. i also bought black lipstick but i didn't feel like wearing make up. so the clothes, white fishnets, plus those extras cost me a total of $17.00, as opposed to the crummy store costume for $20, or $43 at spencers.

the key will be when i wear some green surgical gloves on thrusday, and tell people they need a cavity search before eating candy. i also want to find a stethoscope, but i have no idea where to get one.

the paint is just regular acrylic paint. it dried right before i had to put it on and i blow dried to make it dry faster. it's so cheap, i love it.
