Engagement announcement/dinner

This is an annoucement/invitation I did for a young couple who are quickly becoming my very favorite people. We decided on the peas in a pod as they've described themselves as such on several occasions (awww) and it lends itself to the dinner instead of the more traditional cocktail party
It's barely noticeable in the picture but the pea pod is lightly embossed on a heavy piece of linen paper. The torn edges were hand brushed with chocolate artist chalk. The invite is printed in a mid tone brown on beige cardstock double mounted on a heavy chocolate cardstock.
The best part about this (in my opinion) is that behind the pea pod there is a dot of essential oil so that when the guest recieve the invitation that are not only visually pleased but are greeted with aroma as well.
It's going into handmade envelopes with a cover of raw vellum. You can kinda notice the calligraphy that will adorn the envelopes in the background of the picture.
They decided on really informal lettering leading up to the actual wedding invitations done in copperplate calligraphy.
