i've been lurking here a while, checking out everyone's great work, getting ideas, and building off ideas. i've made a few comments here and there, but didn't want to do it too much and seem completely random, and right after i joined i asked a stupid question, but here are some pictures of a few bags i've made.

The large checkered tote on the left I had a pattern for, which I used to create my own proportioned patterns for purses for the small checkered bag and the polka dot bag. The other one was stenciled.

Close-up of the polka-dotted purse. It's reversible, and because the bag was only for myself and sometimes I'm too impatient to do well on something only I'm going to use, I get lazy...so the handles aren't too well done; you can see the interfacing used.

Close-up of the stenciled bag. I just got a plain canvas tote from Wal*Mart, made the Marilyn stencil and put it on. This was the first stencil I'd used. I added the black ribbon [because of laziness I just hot-glued it on; you can see some of it], then it still seemed too plain. My mom suggested the shoe. I now think it looks dumb, but I love the rest, so oh well.
