ideas for shirt

This used to be a regular t-shirt, size large. I got it from my friend, who got it at a thrift store. I always liked it but it was too big so I always felt frumpy whenever I wore it, so I decided to give it a new look:




I gave it a "pleated" look...sorry you can't see it very well in the picture. The sewing and stuff didn't affect what the back looked like, but this is what the back design is (sorry it's backwards, but I forgot that mirrors make things backwards when I took the picture :x) It says "Clovis Academy of Dance"




Anywoo, the point of me posting is that I am not really satisfied with it....it feels incomplete. I want to do something with the sleeves, but not off-the-shoulder look since I already did that with 2 shirts(however I do want sleeves of some sort). So maybe ruffles or something....I don't know....any ideas? Also I am thinking I should probably cut off the collar. It looks weird....like the first half of it looks like some regular old shirt, and then at the bottom it's more like a "top," if that makes any sense. I'm thinking some yellow ribbon and/or a bow should be incorporated somehow. Any suggestions on how to spruce up the top half is greatly appreciated! thanks!
