Last week, a lady in my quilting circle told us how to print on fabric by running the fabric through a laser printer:
  • Place the shiny side of FREEZER paper against the fabric and iron them together.
  • Trim it to 8.5" x 11" (or whatever size paper the printer can do).
  • Put it in the printer so the fabric side is printed on.
  • Print.
  • Peel off the freezer paper.
  • The same piece of freezer paper can be used for this many times afterwards.
This would be a great way to make personalized tags for projects. I bought some freezer paper, but I'm afraid to try this because the printer at my job is the only laser printer I have available. I don't want to be responsible for jacking up the office printer in case something goes horribly wrong. But I am dying to see this work so thought maybe some of you more adventurous types could try it and post some experiences and/or pictures for us.
