Caryons = candles?

On the phone with my friend she told me she had like a bag of old crayons and asked me if she should keep them. I asked her why and she said to make candles. She said her sister did this in school once.

So, my crafty people, how do you make these crayon candles? What do you use for the wick? and etc.....

help would be nice and I'd even show you what came of my crayons :)
