Oh, the pleasure of yarn

This is an excited update on an old post, no gift idea or problem. Here goes: I posted a knit purse with bamboo handles about a month ago, had zoo lining and a magnetic clasp. I had made it as an experiment for a friend who loves strange purses, mostly vintage styles. I had never seen her carrying it until yesterday... only to find out from her roommate that she has been wanting to ask me to make another one in black so she can carry one of them everywhere. Then the roommate asked if I could possibly make one for her and how much I'd charge. Then two other underclassmen in the film school's BFA thesis office were shocked that I'd made the purse and asked if they could get in on a purse of their own. When I said that I'd been thinking of making a bunch and going to the flea market to bargain the prices to make some extra cash, they told me to post a flyer and they'd all be there... it just made me feel great to hear that not only was the present enjoyed, but film students are all willing to pay me to make custom ones for them. :D Just thought I'd share... will post pics as they are made.
