Suggestions needed.
Jun. 10th, 2004 02:24 pmSo my newest project is making a doll version of David Bowie's character from the movie The Labyrinth. Page of reference photos here. And for the costume, I'm going to have to make that curled collar.
The last time I made a collar, I took a piece of packaging backing (you know that sort of cardboard, sort of paper stuff that's on the back of, say, a pair of pens or something like that?) cut it into the shape I wanted, and sewed it into the fabric. (Picture here.) But this time there's a still curl in the collar, and I'm not sure that same method would work.
Anyone know of a way to keep the piece of backing in that curled shape? Or is there a better way to reproduce the collar?
