My neighbor's daughter had her high school graduation party today. I had no idea what to get her, so I asked another neighbor who told me that she likes butterflies and that her favorite color is purple. (Aren't you glad I didn't post a "What kind of graduation gift would be good for a teenage girl who likes butterflies and the color purple?" thread? :) ) I did some shopping and couldn't come up with anything, and finally decided "Hey, I've got a sewing machine, I'll make her a quilt. It's big enough for a twin sized bed, and big enough to curl up on the couch with whle watching a movie or something.







You can't really see it, but there are small buttons at the corners of each square.



She loved it, and all of the people there loved it, and I think that I am going to be making a lot more at Christmas.
