craftgrrlI'm looking to buy a sewing machine for crafty stuff-- I have an old Singer and it's on its last legs. I'd like to buy new and not used. Any suggestions? I'm looking at the Singer 6038 (excellent reviews on Amazon), and the Kenmore 16221. Requirements: must have a hem stitch, must cost about $150. I know that Singer doesn't have the best reputation anymore, but some people whine about aluminum needles for knitting so I know it can just be user preference as well. So. Tell me what YOU use and any tips you might have (since I can't get into memories...)...
