I'm certain something like this is in the memories, but seeing as I can't access the memories right now I'll ahead and lay it on y'all:

So I have this vision of making Billie Holiday's face in a collage/mosaic form. I've thought of the obvious itty-bitty-pieces-of-ripped-up-magazines, as well as gluing layers of different-colored felt together, but though maybe a fellow craftgrrl would have a better idea.
