Jun. 16th, 2004 12:03 pmDoes anyone know (or know where I can find) rules on reselling altered items?
What I mean is.... um... well here's an example. I bought a plain fat little journal from Barnes and Noble a 2 years ago. I then altered it myself wrapping it in handmade paper and thick ribbon. Since then EVERYONE and their mother has asked me where I bought my cute little journal. Would it be illegal for me to sell such an item seeing as how it was orignally purchased at Barnes and Noble?
I use magazine images on lightswitch plates and things like that. Enough people have shown interest in my stuff to make me want to sell it at a street fair. However I don't know if that's legal to resell an image I took out of a magazine, or a journal that was altered from it's original design when I first bought it.
Whats the deal?
